The Shop Is Open

We’ve opened the new shop Georganna & Company for a sneak peak.

Georgia Doll with Ginger Bliss

I cannot believe we have already sold some dolls through Flickr.  Cool.  Next week we will be adding several other dolls at Georganna & Company and In Their Hands.

Georgia with Cherry Blossoms

Please join us October 15th for our grand opening.  There will be free for shipping lottery drawings and a totally free drawing as well.

Oh My!

Our household has went from 1 child to 4. Help me! My brother and sister in law are moving and I have their kiddos. My brain is fried, I am exhausted, & I want to run and hide. I don’t know how mommas of large families do it. Jeeze you ladies must be walking zombies.

So much has taken place in our lives and in the lives of those close to us. I have felt the need to be there with them instead of here on the internet. I really hope that once school starts and HL returns home our lives will resemble once again so sort of peace and order. Until then I will be in a dark corner silently rocking back and forth until HL comes home to save me.

Staying Off The Computer

Staying off the computer equals getting things done and having more time to do the things that I want to do.

So you see why I’ve been absent? It will probably continue for another couple of weeks. Makinlee starts school next week, HL returns home next weekend, & we plan to hit the lake in the new boat! I’m also trying to finish a ton of housewarming gifts. Everyone in my family decided to purchase their first home over the summer. Photos of all the goodies as soon as the gifts are received. Some of those punks ready my blog. :)

Kitties & Lists

I finished my Wee Wonderfuls Pointy Kitty.  I think she turned out cute despite the fact that this is my first large project that included hand blanket stitching.  I am not good with details unfortunately.  I need a lot more practice.

Pointy Kitty

This brings me to the second subject of my title.  Lists. Remember my New Year’s goals post?

1.  I have one item checked off my crafting list.  Go me.

2. I have also uploaded and ordered prints of 148 photos from Qoop.  They ship internationally for a decent fee.  A lot of my friend in Okpo use local printing services for digital printing but I am not impressed.  I think the states has that one in the bag.

3. One photo album is finished.

I am very ashamed to admit the only photos that I have printed are those of Makinlee’s birth.  She is almost 4 years old.  I am behind, very behind.

3.  The diet has begun.  My body is revolting against the lack of sugar and caffeine.   I woke up this morning with one nasty cold.  The only reason I am free of fever and chills at the moment is I am in a Tylenol 3 state of bliss.  I am not sure if my exercise goal for the week is going to happen.  I DID join the gym but if the way I felt today is any indication of the way I will feel tomorrow I’m afraid I will pass on the gym.

On a more positive note, Makinlee starts school tomorrow.  Thank. god.

It’s Over

Am I the only one who is thankful Christmas is over?  Now if I can just get through the New Year. Sigh.  HL has been home a lot during the holidays which has given me the time to sew.  I have a lot planned for the New Year and can’t wait for things to settle back down so that I may get started on my list.  I will be back after the new year.  I hope each and everyone one of you have a very Happy New Year!

Kicking That List’s…

(insert favorite word here). I just finished the last pair of nursing pads for sis-in-law. All TEN pair. I am a hater of circle sewing. I am horrible at it. The ONLY reason I agreed to sew these is because they are hidden or are supposed to be hidden from the public eye. I used New Conceptions Personal Things pattern that I purchased from One Stop Diaper Shop eons ago. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow. I used girly flannel prints from JoAnns for the nursing pads in the photo. However, I also made a few out of unbleached organic flannel. Since I have the pattern out I think I may sew up a few more cloth pads for myself. I know it is not on my to do  list but a girl can never have enough cute cloth pads. It makes the arrival of Aunt Flo much more bearable.
