Over the next month we have a TON of things going on. FET #2 is scheduled in about two weeks and I plan to pile up for at least a week after this time. I know the fact that I was busy after FET #1 was not the cause of the miscarriage but still I was under stress because of the Art Festival. After some testing we found out that I have a genetic disorder called MTHFR. I am homozygous (one gene from each parent) for C677T which is MTHFR in it’s rarest form unfortunately. I am now on very high doses of folic acid (L-Methylfolate actually) and a baby aspirin everyday. MTHFR causes your body to be unable to break down and use folic acid correctly which then causes high homocystine levels which cause blood clots. How’s that for a short explanation? I may or may not have to take Lovenox (low molecular weight heprin) shots daily while pregnant but we have to discuss with the DR and he may need to run more tests. We have another consultation about it a week from today.
Over the next week I am going to put casseroles, soups, stews, & breads in the freezer so that during this busy month we can at least eat semi well. We will be in Houston the next two weekends and have a trip to Baton Rouge to make as well. We are getting a Lionhead rabbit for Makinlee for Christmas and have to go pick her up. She’s a cute little thing. HL has some woodworking to do in time for Christmas as well and I have a few more gifts to purchase. I hope to get out the Christmas decorations when HL gets home and have everything done before the FET. Here’s hoping there are no glitches in the plan.
