Oh My!

Our household has went from 1 child to 4. Help me! My brother and sister in law are moving and I have their kiddos. My brain is fried, I am exhausted, & I want to run and hide. I don’t know how mommas of large families do it. Jeeze you ladies must be walking zombies.

So much has taken place in our lives and in the lives of those close to us. I have felt the need to be there with them instead of here on the internet. I really hope that once school starts and HL returns home our lives will resemble once again so sort of peace and order. Until then I will be in a dark corner silently rocking back and forth until HL comes home to save me.

It’s too hot to do anything else.   I’ve been enjoying my porch, new books, new kittens, & the slow life.

And it begins…again

We have officially started to finish the farmhouse.  Our contractor will start next week building the upstairs loft and staircase.  I have started reselecting tile, flooring, counter tops, appliances, etc because everything I picked out in the beginning is no longer available or not as cool as the new stuff.  We have a meeting tomorrow with a building consultant.  She will help us find and order everything we need to finish the house right down to the door stoppers.  With HL being gone for the next 3 months I need all the help I can get.  She is great at her job and lots of fun to boot.  So far this is what we have for the kitchen.  Most of which has to be special ordered.

I am still undecided on a copper farmhouse sink or an undermount stainless one since the appliances will be stainless.   I also have cabinet hardware to pick out however I know they too will be copper.  I just love copper in the kitchen, can you tell? This is my dream kitchen and I cannot wait to host a party here.
