Heaven on Earth

We are just home from a glorious vacation to the Seychelle Islands.  To say this place is beautiful is an understatement. It is said by the locals to be the exact spot that Adam & Eve lived. After exploring the amazing palm forests in the Vallee De Mai it’s easy to see how this rumor seems true. The Seychelles are overflowing with an abundance of tropical fruits, large land tortoise, rare birds, mangroves teaming with crabs, famous beaches, & the only place in the world you can find the Coco De Mer.

The locals are a self reliant lot.  They search the forest & seas for their food. The majority of their water is caught in rain barrels & heatd with solar.   They live such a simple life and makes me wish we were back home in Louisiana growing our vegetables, raising chickens, quail, & a steer for our food.  They are proud people too, proud that they are now their own country with their own government. They are proud that people from all over the world want to come visit their beautiful islands.  I would be proud too.  They are strong, proud, & beautiful in their simplicity and ability to make the most out of the little they have.
