New Chicken Haven

Our new chicken “area” is finally finished.  We rebuilt the run, painted the coop and added shutters that were given to us, & replanted all my prize daylilies.  We also added to our berry patch.  We now have blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, & strawberries.  In a few years we should have a nice crop.

Chicken Haven

I cannot wait until next summer.  The daylilies should be nice and full with tons of blooms.  Daylilies are my absolutely favorite flower.

HL leaves early in the morning for Korea again.  Hopefully after a few days I can get back to blogging.  I have a ton of sewing projects on my list.  I did manage to make a few dolls while HL was home but mostly we worked on the house and the yard.  I hope over the next 5 weeks I can accomplish a lot more than I did while he was away last time.  However, Makinlee starts school somewhere in the middle of the next 5 weeks and that is going to be a huge transition in this household.
