I took the afternoon off from unpacking and organizing to spend a few hours outdoors with the animals and in the garden.
Dan posed for the camera.
Petunia was as gracious as ever.
Jack was, well, his usual self.
The new chicks could really care less about me except during feeding time.
(Barred Rocks & Buff Orpingtons)
The mystery ducks don’t care too much for me or any human for that matter.
The strawberries are divine fresh off the vine. HA!
The garlic is in full bloom. I did manage to steal a few scapes, batter, & fry them up. Yummy!
This gorgeous lady begged me to pick her and bring her inside but I declined.
It was a beautiful day.

I am a 30 year old wife and mom to one daughter conceived via IUI. We are TTC #2. Our first treatment cycle starts in Feb '09. I was diagnosed with PCOS in '02. We live on a 50 acre homestead in Louisiana. My husband is an oilfield junkie hence the name "Offshore Wife".

Awesome pictures! I know you don’t know me that well but when you get all moved in I would love to come visit and check out your animals and gardens and of course the new house! My kids would just flip! We’re so citified (is that a word? LOL!) here in Baton Rouge I want them to see some country life!

Love the pictures especially of the little chicks. All of our girls are big now. I miss them when they were all so small and fluffy.
